1/3 of the population of Kenya live with Food Insecurity
71% live without access to clean water
53% of students do not finish high school due to lack of financial resources
The most vulnerable are often the most overlooked as people seek to survive in systemic poverty.
Caring for the vulnerable while actively seeking solutions for empowerment and sustainability are part of our mission to Reach Vulnerable Families.
MONTHLY FOOD BUNDLES AND CARE PACKAGES
Recurring monthly donations help sustain widows, orphans, the elderly and disabled. Food bundles usually consist of maize flour(a main staple), beans, cooking oil, tea, and sugar. Each month 50-60 people are fed through the consistent giving of our monthly impact partners. There are no food pantries or government programs that reach these families and there are many more on the waiting list. For many recipients, these monthly visits are more than food assistance—they are a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
Care packages include toothbrushes, soap, and blankets. Food bundles are delivered to hungry families within days and sometimes hours of receiving funds. Community food bundles are distributed once $500 has been raised.
WE'RE THERE WHEN CRISIS HITS
Severe droughts are often followed by heavy rain and flooding – forcing thousands of people from their homes, destroying livelihoods and leaving families in the wake of devastation. Food Bundles and Care Packages also assist those living in crisis.
EMPOWERING FAMILIES
While Food Bundles remain one of our greatest needs and most meaningful points of connection with vulnerable individuals and families living in poverty, we are also investing in long-term solutions that address the root causes of food insecurity.
One of our first sustainability initiatives is the development of poultry projects that provide both food and income for families and communities. Through your generous support, we currently operate two family-based projects and two community-based projects, creating reliable access to nutrition while generating opportunities for self-sufficiency and economic growth.
Each family project supports up to 200 chickens per month, while each community project supports up to 400 chickens per month, multiplying the impact of every dollar given. One community initiative is operated by a primary school serving 160 students and helps support its ongoing operations. The second is managed by a local organization dedicated to serving widows and orphans, providing both food and employment opportunities within the community.
These projects do more than meet today's needs—they restore hope, dignity, and purpose while building stronger families and more resilient communities. As the projects grow, they can expand into egg production, chick sales, and roasted chicken businesses, creating additional sources of income and employment. Our goal is for participating families to increase their household income by as much as 50% within six months while helping provide sustainable food solutions for their communities.
What begins with a chicken can become a pathway to hope, dignity, and lasting transformation.

Water scarcity leaves 71% of families in Kenya without access to clean water and access to sanitation causing sewage to leak into the ground resulting in contaminated water causing dysentery.
41% of Kenyans struggle to find water
The average Kenyan living in rural areas may walk 6 miles or more to get water for the day carrying the water on their heads or backs.
Providing access to consistent water through water storage systems, additional water taps where available, and digging of wells can change outcomes for families and entire communities. Combined with grass roots education on simple irrigation communities can begin small gardens to feed their families.
Become a project provider. We have families and communities waiting for clean water projects. Projects are scheduled when they are funded. You can make a donation designated to any of these projects and we will keep you updated as to when the project is scheduled and completed. You may even want to come with us and be a part of the hands and feet on the ground.
