Charles Alfred McIntire (1933-2024)
Charles “Chuck” was born in Annapolis, Maryland to Flora and Raymond McIntire and spent his early years living as a military family in a variety of states, eventually settling in California. It was there that he met June Keith while attending San Diego State University. They were married in 1957 and had three children, Susan, Kenny, and David. God blessed them with ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Chuck “Coach Mac” was a Physical Education teacher in San Diego, CA for 43 years. He coached track, cross country, soccer, and gymnastics. He also taught swim lessons and driving instruction. Additionally, he loved to take photos and travel.
In his early 40's, Chuck was introduced to faith in Jesus Christ. He wanted to tell everyone about God. He would go from house to house sharing the good news about how much God loves us and wants us to spend eternity with him in heaven. He loved to study the bible and was a faithful man of prayer.
Coach Mac spent 99% of his career teaching high school, deeply valuing the teamwork found in sports, encouraging students to get a solid education, and developing the skills needed to provide for their family. Along with loving God and following His path for your life, the following items, explanations, and scriptures reflect the inspiration behind the scholarship fund established in his memory.
